Villa I Busini is situated on the slopes of Pomino region, in Val di Sieve (the Valley of Sieve) and is accessible via the Chianti Rùfina and Pomino Route, the road that meanders through Florence’s 5 district wine-producing regions: Pontassieve, Rùfina, Pelago, Londa, and Dicomano. This region is known as Chianti Rùfina and is one of Tuscany’s seven renowned wine regions.

With an altitude of 550 meters (1,804 feet) above sea level, it is the highest and coolest sub-zone in the Chianti region. The vast temperature differences from day to night make this climate ideal for producing grapes.

Within the estate walls, Chardonnay and Merlot varieties are grown as part of our winemaker’s experiment, which has yielded fruitful results; however, only a small number of bottles are produced annually.

The estate boasts a further 5 acres of vineyards in surrounding sub-terrain and is harvested together with nearby well-known estates to produce the Villa I Busini Bianco (white) and Rosso (red) wines which you may enjoy should you wish during your stay at Villa I Busini.

Should you wish to learn more about our vineyards and wine production during your stay, please enquire about our Ground Tours.
