Cavaliere Busini 1574

Located just a few steps away from Villa I Busini, The Leonardo Limonaia owes its name to, Leonardo Busini who became owner of the Villa in 1574  It is situated in the “Limonaia,” or orangery, where the citrus trees are kept during the winter, still to this day.

The Leonardo Limonaia has spectacular views due to its large steel framed windows which overlook the sloping Renaissance garden and the hills of Val di Sieve.

Covering an area of 120 sq metres (1300 sq feet), The Leonardo Limonaia is divided into a number of long, interconnecting sections. The two main sections are the longest with the first boasting an original stone wall and grand doors leading to the second room. This section of the Leonardo Limonaia opens up to a beautiful terrace with breathtaking Tuscan views. The second has been completely hand-painted and decorated in soft, delicate tones and features the Peruzzi de Medici Coat of Arms, as well as classical Greco Roman columns.

Flooded with natural light throughout the day, The Leonardo Limonaia is a retreat within the Villa I Busini retreat and exudes both a sense of grandness, and serenity. It offers an idyllic place to relax and enjoy the serenity of the Tuscan countryside, and is also spacious enough to host private events for up to 40 persons.
