Tennis Court & Boccia

Within Villa I Busini’s park and a stone’s throw away from the Villa itself, the clay tennis court can be reached, via steps made with the local stone, Pietra Serena, a blue-gray sandstone used extensively in Renaissance Florence for architectural details. Abundant throughout Villa I Busini and its grounds.

This elevated tennis court is not only surrounded by the luscious Tuscan landscape, but also provides unobstructive views of the valley and hills surrounding the area. Tennis rackets and balls are available at the Villa.

Boccia is perhaps one of the oldest games, with its roots going as far as ancient Egypt. The sport was played in market places and in the streets during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Villa I Busini boasts its own Boccia court, where groups of family and friends can enjoy this vibrant game in the middle of the idyllic landscape surrounding the Villa.
